My philosophy of education is that students should be treated the way you would want to be treated. The Golden Rule is the base of all my understanding. Putting yourself in the child's shoes is the best way to communicate and understand them. As a dance instructor, it is my job to foster a love for dance and self-expression. Dance enhances positive self-concept and self-knowing if it is taught correctly.
I believe every student deserves respect and trust. Building a strong relationship with your student creates a bond that opens doors for learning. If this trust is not built, the student will not be responsive to your teachings.
Parents put a caring attitude above curriculum. I strive to reflect this in my teaching. Curriculum comes second to the students' own personal needs and development.
